Bridging Knowledge & Quality: Expert Lecture on CO-PO Mapping and Attainment
CSE (Data Science) | IQAC | IIC | MIC | 29th May, 2026
The Department of CSE (Data Science), in collaboration with IQAC, IIC, and MIC, organized an Expert Lecture on "CO-PO Mapping and Attainment" on 29th May 2026 at Classroom No. 3205, from 1:00 PM to 3:15 PM. The session was attended by 35 faculty members from across the institute and was organized under the guidance of Dr. Ashish B. Manwatkar, HOD, CSE (Data Science) and IQAC Coordinator.
The expert lecture was delivered by Dr. Nalini Jagtap, Associate Professor, PCCOER, Ravet — a seasoned authority on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and NBA accreditation. Prior to the session, she met with Campus Director Dr. Jaywant Sankpal and I/C Principal Dr. Pooja Sharma for a productive discussion on institutional quality enhancement initiatives.
The session was felicitated by Dr. Rajendra Babar, HOD, AI&DS, who emphasized the growing importance of OBE in elevating engineering education quality. Dr. Jagtap conducted the session in a highly interactive manner, covering the alignment of Vision & Mission, PEOs, POs, PSOs, and COs within the SPPU framework. A particularly valuable segment focused on Attainment Calculation Methodology, where she walked faculty through direct and indirect assessment tools, attainment targets, and performance indicators using practical examples. The lively Q&A session addressed faculty queries on CO formulation, NBA documentation, and mapping strategies.
The overall coordination of the event was seamlessly managed by Mr. Kumar Prashant, TPO, whose organizational efforts ensured the smooth conduct of the program. The program concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Shailesh Gavai, reflecting the institute's steadfast commitment to academic quality and continuous improvement.
